I was born in Beijing, China.

Since 2010, I have been a Ph.D. student in the Pervasive Artificial Intelligence group of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. The group is led by Prof. B. Hirsbrunner.

My research interest is overlay optimisation with bio-inspired methods. More specifically, we use Ant Colony Optimisation to constantly collect peer information and optimise the overlay. I am now actively working on this project. A base version of simulator constructed according to the research model developed by us has been completed. Initial results were promising. The first publication about AntOM project have been accepted by AIMS 2011.

Prior to my current research, I had been working as a senior C# developer in the Department of Psychology of the university. I was responsible for the development and maintenance of IzyBuilder, an ambulatory data acquisition and analysis solution for mobile devices. The project was successful and its outcome is facilitating everyday researches of the department at the moment.

In 2004, when e-commerce was receiving increasing attention, I joined the University of Essex to study a master program in e-commerce technology. At there I learnt both the theory and the practices about designing enterprise websites for e-commerce purposes. I have not only studied dynamic web page technologies such ASP and JSP, but also advanced topics like OO databases, network protocol, network security, etc.

My bachelor study was completed in the Department of Computer Science of Beijing University of Technology. I was awarded the Excellent Graduate of Beijing when I finished my study in 2004.HobbiesTravel, photography, video processing, hiking, swimming.
